Welcome to Our Website

Hello my name is Marilyn and I would like to introduce my family to you. This site is about us and our interests. We hope you enjoy browsing this website and come back again to see what happens in our corner of the world.

Ellis the black LabradorOur family here in Child Okeford, Dorset, England consists of myself Marilyn, Rod my husband and two dogs, Lucy a Whippet Lurcher and Kim a full coat German Shepherd. We lost Ellis our black labrador in July 2010, he was fifteen and we miss his steady character, he was very special.

Kim the GSD

Lucy was found wandering on Bulbarrow Hill one cold February morning she was in poor condition. After a spell in the Margaret Green Foundation Trust Animal Sanctuary at Winterbone Kingston we adopted her she is now the most laid back, lazy and spoilt dog around and we love her!

We lost our previous German Shepherd, Quest a few years ago after a short illness and after a while we decided to take on a puppy and we called her Kim (pictured), she is now fully grown and a real character, she loves everyone and is very enthusiastic in every thing she does!

Lucy the Lurcher

On the website there are sections on Where we live, About Us which includes, my (Marilyn) previous studies with the Open University and The Open College of Arts Photography degree which I am now pursuing. You can find more on our About Us page.

The website also includes Genealogy of the the Peddle and Meaker families. With my sister Christine's family tree updates, "Under the Gooseberry Bush", about her quest to find as much information on the Meaker family as she can.

There is also some memories of Christine and Marilyn's time at Durweston school and growing up in rural Dorset, which we will add to as and when our recall allows!

The the website is an on-going development project, the spirit is always willing but time constraints often stop me updating my own website!

Thank you for looking at our site, we hope you have found something of interest. Please come back again.
