About Us
Here is a little more about our family here in North Dorset, Rod, Marilyn and our hounds.
Milton Abbey & School
We have been living in the village of Child Okeford for more than 10 years after leaving a tied cottage at Milton Abbey, between us both we worked 50 years at the school, so we knew it well, a lovely place to live but moving to our own house was special and the village on the edge of the the Blackmore Vale is also a lovely vibrant.village with Hambledon Hill, The Blackmore Vale and Okeford Hill on the doorstep.
We both love the countryside and take our dogs walking everyday, enjoying the changing seasons and finding something new every day. I like to take my camera with me just in case as I always find if I don't I miss that special picture!
In the last year we have also taken up caravanning we've had a few trips out mainly to Somerset and we look forward to spending some more time seeing new things. It doesn't need to be miles away.
I enjoy my garden and each year besides the flowers I am growing more vegetables, there is nothing better than enjoying your own crops.
On the website I have a page on my Open University experiences and my journey to a Foundation degree in IT & Communications and other courses along the way. The genealogy of our families, most of the work is done by my sister Christine who lives in Calgary Canada. Rod and myself go out "in the field" to visit churchyards and villages.
