Welcome to my Photo Blog!

Thank you for taking a look at my Photo Blog. I have added it to complement my other blog, Marilyn’s Diary, Ramblings of a Country Lover! at http://www.marilynpeddle.co.uk/wordpress/

I hope to add my photo of the week (weather and time permitting). The image I post may not win any competitions or be technically a ‘good photo’ but it will be of something special to me for some reason, which I hope I will be able to explain why.

I will post some archive photos from time to time too, when I come across them. I will also post anything I think would be interesting in the photographic line.

I took this photo on the good day I had! I just love all that is going on in the picture and the colours.

After the rain

exmoor_eve
I was lucky enough to get a couple of days in Exmoor although one of the days it poured down all day but in the evening the rain stopped and this is a photo taken from across the road from my hotel, there was a lot of mist coming off the trees and the colour of the sky was beautiful. I liked the silhoutte of the Rosebay Willow Herb flower in the foreground which I think gave the composition a lift.

Phoebe’s Pup

Well what can I say about this one. Phoebe the Airedale terrier had 8 pups in total and this is one cheeky little one. I had to take the picture quickly as you can imagine they are on the go or sleeping! I got down on the floor with them and this one decided to look me over.

Sturminster Mill

This picture was taken from behind the mill in Stalbridge Lane, a bit different from the usual view on calendars etc. This time of year with all the foliage and the trees it made a nice frame for the mill.
